This month we will be looking at the operation of grace in the believers life.
Many times Christians believe and understand that they came to Christ through grace, and that God received them just the way they were.
Like the famous hymn “Just As I Am” the believer realizes that in order to come to Christ from a state of being lost they must come as lost sinners with hands open and with nothing to offer. But something happens to many after they receive Christ by “grace through faith” Ephesians 2:8, they fall into the trap of serving God through legalism. As if grace was enough to save them but not enough to keep them walking with God!
This month we will ask God to reveal to us as he did to the Apostle Paul what it is to not only be saved by grace but to also continue in our walk with God and be kept by the same grace that saved us.
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
It’s so natural to fall under the trap of legalistic Christianity which puts believers under the burden of the law. They escape from the slavery of sin and fall into the slavery of legalism. Satan is the master of putting us under some sort of system that takes the power of God out of the picture and burdens people with religiosity.
Grace is not just a subject, it is part of Gods nature and character. Come join us in the month of June as we examine how Grace is not only the means for our salvation but is the essence of the Christian walk and power of the believers life!
